Noah- this is, what 3 or 4 games w/ 24+ points against 1-A opponents? When is the last time that happened… had to be PR’s last year, right?

  2. noah 11/11/2007 at 1:44 PM #

Maybe someone will post a torrent soon and you can download the game. I haven’t seen anything on accvideos.

  3. noah 11/11/2007 at 1:46 PM #

Badger – We scored at least 25 points four times in 2004. Richmond, ECU, Miami and Wake. We did nine times in 2003.

  4. Dr. BadgerPack 11/11/2007 at 1:49 PM #

all of those were in the PR era, right?

  5. Dr. BadgerPack 11/11/2007 at 1:56 PM #

and ya’ll gotta like the fact I converted a Gainesville girl into a state fan! it’s her #1 team now…

  6. noah 11/11/2007 at 1:59 PM #

2003 was Rivers’ senior year. 2004 was the Jay Davis-led team.

HOLY CRAP… Didn’t know we put up points to speak of post-Rivers…

    Strange game.

State’s OL had a great game run blocking, probably their best effort of the year. But on pass blocking, they had the worst performance of the last four games.

The defense did a great job on stopping the run. But they couldn’t consistently get pressure on Yates even though UNC’s ranks 100+ in sacks allowed.

Daniel Evans still makes bad decisions under pressure. The OL simply must give him more time than he had yesterday….and DE must learn to duck and take the sack instead of throwing a wounded duck to the defense.

Eugene has his best day of the year….and gets an ankle sprain on the same day. I’ll be watching for the injury reports this next week.

Anyone have any idea if the game will be replayed on Sunday? If so, when?

Tysiac evidently is feeding “the trolls” indicating that Ron Cherry gave State a “break” with the timeout and band warning. IC is a “hoot”! I’ve always said that there “is no sign of intelligent life” over there!

  10. RAWFS 11/11/2007 at 4:16 PM #

Tysiac is a troll himself. No surprise there. Sorry your boys didn’t get it done, Ken. Come to think of it, not really.

Not to overly pimp my own site, but if you fellows get a chance, here’s RAWFS’s Thoughts and Observations from State-Carolina…you’ll find our take on the UNC band issue is 180 degrees opposite of Tysiac’s. Plus some thoughts on BC too.

I checked out the link to unx site… I guess i don’t follow tennis. What are they refering to about the refs and our girls tennis team?

  12. RAWFS 11/11/2007 at 4:38 PM #

Todd, there was an unfortunate incident with a freshman NCSU tennis player insinuating himself (so to speak) on a teammate.

    RAWFS,
    Excellent post on your site.

“The evidence continues to fly in. Carolina fans know f*ck-all about football.”

” I don’t miss the people interfering our commenting about our future and don’t know whether a football is stuffed or pumped.”

Quote by former UNC HC John Bunting taken from the N & O, Q sec. pg. 27a.

Was anybody else excited to see that TOB is an unofficial assistant to the big guy, Santa Claus?

  16. bTHEredterror 11/11/2007 at 5:53 PM #

Badger-If you got a Gainsville girl, it doesn’t matter if she pulls for the Heels. She’s likely a keeper.

  17. highstick 11/11/2007 at 6:24 PM #

Alpha, great comments! I noticed that “band junk” going on at the South Carolina-North Carolina game too! But, you know how it is, “rules are for someone else when you’re the annointed”! “Initiating contact is not a foul, it’s just aggressive basketball”, Tyler Hansbrough, 2006!

  18. bTHEredterror 11/11/2007 at 6:45 PM #

Almost all DE’s INTs involve a throw off the back foot to avoid getting planted. Thus they sail, and they’re usually in the flats, which is a doomsday scenario. This incenses me, but I’m learning to deal with it. He makes enough plays for some reprieve.

The biggest indication of our improvement as a team is that we overcame our own mistakes.

We thoroughly dominated the LOS, and Imma toot my own horn and admit an error simultaneously. I was convinced there was some talent on the OL, and that Meares Green was not amongst it. He has been solid at Guard, and they have improved tremendously. With an OL specialist as a head coach and Bible as an OC, we were going to improve THIS year and it took about the 4-5 games I expected for the guys to relearn their steps and get together. Then the considerable talent at the skills could flourish.

It’s just a shame we couldn’t steal the game in Tallahassee, or we’d REALLY be in the mix right now. Hey, Deeks! You’re next!

  19. choppack1 11/11/2007 at 8:42 PM #

bthredterror – I agree, those 2 mistakes by Evans were the only reason this was a ball game. He actually played really well aside from those two huge mistakes.

  20. VaWolf82 11/11/2007 at 8:49 PM #

DE played well in the first half with the exception of the pick six. But he didn’t do much of anything good in the second half.

And the Tarholes get “theological” on us! Read this…

  22. redfred2 11/11/2007 at 11:03 PM #

highstick, the tarheel fan who started up the theological rant on your link there, always says this refering to his fellow UNC fans :

    “We are better than that.”

Good lord, doesn’t he know that everyone on the planet is already well aware of that?

  23. bTHEredterror 11/11/2007 at 11:21 PM #

Wow, some of them are questioning God now? Boy, January 12th is gonna seem like Armageddon.

  24. redfred2 11/11/2007 at 11:24 PM #

^My post was supposed to say, …also says… not “always says”

  25. highstick 11/11/2007 at 11:59 PM #

Wouldn’t a big butt whupping on Jan 12 be just absolutely fantastic? Their world might implode(which is like “sucking from the inside”!) LOL!!

I’ve been emailing an mp3 version of the State Fight song this afternoon and changing the file name to UNC Fight Song just to “trip them up’!

Any of you guys old enough to remember, “Rip ’em Up, Tear ’em Up, Give ’em Hell State”??
