    14 running plays until 3rd and 8, miami throws to back left corner of the endzone, pass caught out of bounds as called on field, play is going to review, Darnell Jenkins may have dragged a foot, yet i cannot see conclusive evidence to overturn

    miami kicks field goal, 43 yard return for blackman, yet another stupid penalty for state, holding on the return negates blackman’s great run, 1st and ten from the 19yard line, worst field position on the day, first play from scrimmage is another poorly thrown ball from evans, he is just floating them out there

    huge pass to blackman, best ball from Evans in a while yet underthrown, good protection from line, state starts from the Miami 15 yard line, run play stopped at the line to end the quarter, 2nd and about ten from the miami 15 to start the 4th quarter

    3rd and ten, evans floats one out the back of the endzone intended for darrell davis, who was turned the wrong way, state settles for the field goal, 13-10 miami still leads

    Hauschka’s kick sails out of the back of the endzone, 2nd straight kick through the back of the endzone for him, great job of keeping the ball away from those speedy miami returners, and helping in the field position game

    state holds for the punt, and now starts from our 36 yard line with 13 minutes left, carry for eugene, for 3 yards, now 2nd and 7, now pass to eugene out of backfield, brings up 3rd and short, draw play on 3rd down goes for 10 yards, offense is looking solid, eugene is running hard

    pass to eugene out of the backfield goes for 18 to start the next set of downs, first and 10 from the Miami 27 yard line, 11 minutes left, state looking confident, 1st down play is short run for underwood, 2nd down is pass to bowens off target, darrell davis catches on 3rd down takes huge lick from former state target, kenny phillips, state settles for field goal on 4th and 2, field goal made, 13-13 tie game

    Ugly kick, but tie game. Given that the U has completed ONE f-ing pass, I like our odds.

    yeah we are in good shape as long as we don’t get bitten by some play action, because miami has not proven the capacity to pass all day, yet another touchback for Hauschka…

    two stupid penalties for miami on this set of downs, yet miami gets a first down on two strong runs by Javarris James, and the miami line is dominating right now at the point of attack
