Can we talk about some basketball for a moment?
NC State’s Cedric Simmons has been traded from the New Orleans/Oklahoma City/Who Knows What is Next Hornets to the World-Champion-Contending Cleveland Cavaliers. (Link)
Simmons made four starts in 43 games last season. He averaged 2.9 points and 2.5 rebounds a game. Simmons, a first-round pick by the Hornets in the 2006 draft, left North Carolina State after his sophomore season. Simmons is a good shot-blocker and will see time with the Cavs from off the bench.
For a nice few minutes away from football, you can check out Cedric’s highlight video here and our draft night blog entry by clicking here.
“Cedric is a young, talented player,” Cavs General Manager Danny Ferry said in a written statement. “We look forward to participating in his continued development here in Cleveland.”
