    I have never seen a coach as well groomed as Sid either. I think he must have a gay hairdresser who trims his mustache and shapes his eyebrows for him.

    Valvano, towards the end of his career here, was a big Armani guy. Of course, he never fully got rid of the goodfella within. He was usually rocking the gold bracelet. And he certainly did have his picture taken enough times wearing a velour tracksuit.

    Sounds like a solid player that hasn’t been listed on Scout. Hmm…I love it. Sidney has seen him play 3 times, and he’s got us listed as High interest. He just may be our first verbal – or not…I think Sidney will have us consistently in the Top 10-20 in recruiting classes. These young guys know about his NBA ties, and know that he can flat out COACH.

    From an article on Scout.com about Derrick Favors:

    Favors said. “It’s just been a lot of fun for me. I’m enjoying it a lot.”

    Off the top of his head, Favors said Paul Hewitt, Dennis Felton, Rick Barnes, Jim Calhoun, Sidney Lowe, Billy Donovan, and Billy Gillespie.

    Good stuff – for those who don’t know, he’s the #1 prospect in the Class of ’09.

    Damn, I can’t wait for B’ballin’ tomorrow night!!

    ^I remember those velour track suits. That’s prettty much the only thing he wore on campus. They were as bright as Sidney’s red blazer. And he always wore that gold bracelet with them. When he cam walking out of Reynolds, the only think you could see was red velour, a gold sparkle, and teeth. He was always smiling.

    Oh yeah!!! Now we’re reaching back up there and trying to get back on that level that some of us have been speaking about. This isn’t meant to be one of my usual digs, I’m just saying that it is great to have someone in charge up there who has lived it, and sees the two time National Champion NC State BB program exactly the same way we do. I hope everyone out there gets to experience some of what us older Wolfpack have.
