Ryan looked flat to start the game against WFU, but got sharper as the game wore on. TOB should know his tendencies very well, though, which should (could?) give your secondary some significant advantages as Ryan gets a lot of air under the ball over 15-20 yards.

I thought Beck had the advantage of playing a UCF team in the second half that was in mental (and eventually physical) prevent defense; but he looked promising (in the parts I saw). Plus, I couldn’t tell if State threw more in the second half b/c they were behind and Baker was out starting late in the 3rd quarter or b/c they had more confidence in Beck (maybe all of the above?), so it is a little hard to figure what to expect from Beck the starter, except he seems to have a lot more potential than Evans.
