10 Points Against Louisville (UofL 29, NC State 10)

The Cardinals’ secondary has been burned on long passes all season. So what does the Wolfpack do? Come out throwing short slants, screens and bootleg passes to the tight end in the first half. Go figure.

Well, as many of us have said, we will have at least two tough years in front of us. We should get used to the frustration and hope the coaches and recuits can turn the corner quickly.

I don’t know about 2 full tough years… it depends on the adaptability (readL teachability) of the players– a fully implented system can make several wins difference…

TD Alabama, plus recovered onsides kick. Tide ball at midfield, 64 seconds left.

  4. BJD95 09/29/2007 at 9:05 PM #

Never mind, penalty on the kick.

We will definitely still suck next year. Year 3, we could maybe win 5-7 games, if the young players develop quickly. I have do doubt that TOB and staff will recruit and teach well.

readL = TMC (too much corona)… can’t chalk that one up as a typo…

Auburn is looking REALLY good to cover so far (7-0)

Now in the past 2 games the ‘Pack has used the no huddle offense and taken the ball right down the field….then….it stops. No more no huddle, and the offense stalls. If the defense is kept off balance, that IS a good thing, right? The usual NCSU offense….if it works, STOP DOING IT!

  8. Wulfpack 09/29/2007 at 9:15 PM #

I said earlier in the week that the difference in this game would be which defense showed up. I thought our D did a great job considering our offense was predicatbly poor. But the L’ville D, who everybody has been scoring on all year, “forced” 5 turnovers. They were all gimmes. Game over.

This is not the way TOB’s teams play football.

Not to say that “I told you so” about Clempson having a “meltdown”, however Clempson had meltdown! Way to go Tommy, you’re so predictable!

**Joke Alert** **Not blaming playcalling (totally)**

You guys have heard nothing until you’ve heard the famed “Section 5”. It is brutal on the senses and actually makes you wish that football wasn’t popular at NCSU.

BTW, was that Crouch that brake most of #94’s grey matter rolling around in his nogin. I saw # 94 talking to a State Trooper, evidently looking for a lost or stolen helmet. Bone crushing hit.

^check out ESPN for the hit an MSU guy laid on a Wisconin receiver today… Dude will probably eat gerber for a week (despite walking off the field).

5 GAMES GIVING UP 200+ YARDS RUSHING

The LB’s are struggling at times, but I don’t know why folks haven’t realized that this four man front is one of the worst ever.

Pressley is just doing a few reps right now, making some kind of video portfolio for draft day about “how I played through it: the knee injury”. I haven’t seen any stats but if he has any tackles it’s from being thrown on top of the pile at the right time.

Is Cash and Clemmons the same person? Has anyone seen both on the field at the same time? I just let it go, they are kids and who knows they could get better.

Willie Young had a blocked fg…..and that was it. He and Wright are being blocked by one tackle, one TE, or one RB alone. They never require a double team.

Holmes and Kuhn try hard and will stick their nose’s in there but they aren’t impact player’s.

The LB’s are a talent depleted unit, but just like the QB position on the opposite side of the ball they are victimized by awful play along the LOS.

So back from The Ham, and it certainly was a good night to be out to eat and not at home listening to the Pack. The restaurant was not crowded, first question the waiter asked was if we were football fans – I laughed and said we don’t like Bama or Auburn, so I guess not.

The waiter got the final score for me, and asked me if I wanted a drink first. I said no, we suck, how bad is it? 29-10, I took that as good, and went on to enjoy my dinner. Ummmmm Fondue.

Got to hear Bama loose on the way home, but lordy is Auburn banging Fla around or what?

Anyone watch GT & Clempson? What happen there?

I don’t know what to say about the Pack other then I am 100% sure that the winner of the State-UNX game will double their wins for the year.

    Harrison Beck 2007 stats – 2 td’s 9 ints
    Daniel Evens 2007 stats – 3 td’s and 2 ints’

When will TOB and you all realize that Harrison Beck is not the quarterback of the future. He’s horrible. He makes terrible decisions. Put Daniel Evans in. Yes, Evans isn’t an NFL qb either, but at least he’ll protect the ball and give our team a chance to win. It’s not fair to the rest of the team to put Beck on the field just because he ‘might’ be the qb next year. Harrison Beck is the worst quarterback at NC state in the last 20+ years.

  19. EverettBeez 09/29/2007 at 11:08 PM #

^wow – I’d say that would hurt their offense.
It also appears their special teams stunk it up and good.

  20. EverettBeez 09/29/2007 at 11:09 PM #

Depending on the condition of Beck’s shoulder, you might get your wish to see more of Evans AG

When your wife went to Texas your household had a bad football day, not including your kid’s team getting drilled 32-7.

  22. gumbydammit 09/29/2007 at 11:11 PM #

anyone got a video clip of Crouch’s hit? I could use a pick-me-up.

  23. EverettBeez 09/29/2007 at 11:15 PM #

no kidding Texpack, I bet its a sad day around there – that stinks about your kids team.

  24. EverettBeez 09/29/2007 at 11:18 PM #

Could we see another Auburn collapse in the 4th, and another Tebow 4th Q surge?

  25. choppack1 09/29/2007 at 11:29 PM #

We’re awful. I thought our D showed a lot of heart today. As usual, it was outdone by our absolute ineptitude on offense. I put this game in the same category as BC – we would have had a chance if weren’t busy turning the ball over.

Daniel Evans isn’t the answer – he’s just awful.

TOB give me some hope – Russell Wilson, Russell Wilson, Russell Wilson. There is no f’ing way he can do worse than the 3 qbs I’ve seen on the field.
