The noticeable differences between CTC and TOB tenures continue to evolve right in front of us.
The Amato era’s secrecy and privacy seems to have been replaced by a much more open and amicable environment for the media. For example, Amato’s closed practices have been replaced with the allowance of video and local media coverage of practices.
For real good coverage, take a look at this blog entry from the N&O.
he first-team offensive line, from left tackle to right tackle, had Julian Williams (LT), Kalani Heppe (LG), Luke Lathan (C), Curtis Crouch (RG) and Meares Green (RT). Marcus Stone was the tight end.
• The first-team defense had ends Littleton Wright and Martrel Brown, and tackles DeMario Pressley and Alan-Michael Cash. The linebackers were Ernest Jones, James Martin II and LeRue Rumph, with a secondary of corners Jimmie Sutton III and J.C. Neal and safeties Javon Walker and Miguel Scott.
• Wide receiver John Dunlap, a senior, was a no-show at practice. O’Brien would not say why but said Dunlap would “be back.” Dunlap did drop by the practice field late in the session.
• Quarterback Russell Wilson, a true freshman from Richmond, Va., had good zip and touch on his throws. It should be interesting to see if he can learn the offense quickly and get into the mix some time this season.
• Offensive tackle Jeraill McCuller, who faces charges of driving while impaired, was at practice and lined up mostly with the No. 2 offensive line.
