The Dream is Alive!

What tired legs? The Pack only commits one turnover against the late Hokie press, and nails free throw after free throw (while VT barely cleared the 40% bar from the charity stripe). I have no idea how in the hell we could manage to derail the UNC freight train tomorrow…but there’s nobody I would rather to go into battle with than Coach Lowe and this group of players (well, I would like Rodney Monroe to leave the stands and lace them up). Your final score – NC State 72, Virginia Tech 64.

When you have God as a coach, how can you lose? Sidney Lowe is a deity.

It’s going to be very, very tough to beat UNC tomorrow, but maybe the ghosts of Kelsey Weems, Mike Giomi, Vinny Del Negro, Ranzino Smith, Dean Smith’s hand-over-the-camera, and 1987 will be with us tomorrow.

What a game. I cannot believe this teams composure.
I have always said a team takes on the personality of its coach. This team remains cool and calm in all situations.
    I love this.

BTW I think I am going to have to buy a red blazer.

    Lowe’s comment after the game:

I think today is Coach Valvano’s birthday, so that’s special. With the way we’re doing it right now – very similar to what a lot of our fans saw in 1983 – it would just be an outstanding accomplishment for this ball club. As Gavin said, we played 12 games without our starting point guard and, really, our only true point guard. These young men, they stayed in there, they hung in there, never complained. I just told them, keep fighting, keep staying together, and good things will happen.

Reminded me of Valvano’s farewell speech at Reynolds:

When you have a goal, when you have a dream, and when you have a belief, and you throw in that concept of never stop believing and loving in each other — you can accomplish miracles. And that’s what the ’83 team taught.

Required reading for all Wolfpack fans.

Don’t be surprised if it gets you a little misty-eyed.

This is an amazing run! One more win. Wolfpack Nation is ready to end the drought and get those nets. Winning would be delicious. Go Pack!

Last spring, when NC State was seeking a replacement for Herb Sendek and being turned down by everyone but the local weatherman, I poked fun at the school’s search. It’s now time to say that athletic director Lee Fowler got the right guy — and that next year could really be something in Raleigh.

Having been a student at State in the late 70’s and followed the team closely since the DT days I loved the jersies with State on them.

Why can’t we break out vintage uniforms like that again?

Michigan State and other schools do it, why not the real STATE?

OOOOKay . Here we go! …. Just a quick reminder for everybody ..

If Carolina wins : …. it will be …

    1. Refs Fault ….. they let “Hansbro” get away with murder
    2. Swofford’s Fault ….. he ordered the refs to let Hansbro get away w/ murder
    3. Media’s Fault . they won’t tell THE TRUTH ….. that Swofford ordered the refs to let Hansbro get away with murder.
    4. Wasn’t that Peter Golenbock on press row?
    5. Is Marcus Ginyard related to Dudley Bradley?

If State wins: …. it will be ….

    1. It was a “meaningless” ACC Tourn Championship Game. “We” only really get up for NCAA Tournament games. Carolina’s won FIVE you know (we DO count that Helms thing)
    2. UNC would have won if Tyler hadn’t had to wear that stoopid mask . that he had to wear because Coach K ordered Henderson to break his nose. It’s Billy Packer’s fault.
    3. Someone probably threw a battery at Bobby Frasor. Buncha stoopid farmers.

What a marvelous run by El Sid …… and Ol’ Roy has finally got his boys playin’ tuff. Pack playing with “house money”. Imagine if this game was being played in Greensboro!

Should be a Lollapalooza. Maybe even a Humdinger !!!

“Let’s understand something. The ACC is the best conference in the country. I think it’s proven that this weekend,” BC coach Al Skinner said. “As I told my guys, once we get out of this freaking ACC, we’re going to do OK.”

“btw, it’d be cool if Roy broke out his blue blazer for tomorrow’s game.”

chris92heel, Roy probably would be wise to follow the new trendsetter in fashion too.
