NIT Game Specifics

The administration was able to work this out exactly as it should be. (Link) The gymnastics meet has been moved to 4pm.

One thing that the announcement does not cover is what time will the doors open for the basketball game? With general admission seating for the basketball game and the gymnastics event limiting how early the doors will open…this piece of information is important.

The following is from the announcement and edited for some additional information that we have received:

Following Tuesday night’s win at Drexel, the NC State men’s basketball team will continue its quest for the NIT Championship at home on Friday night. Sidney Lowe and company will play host to Marist in Reynolds Coliseum in a game that tips off at 9:30 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPNU.

The sixth-seeded Wolfpack (19-15) upset third-seed Drexel on Tuesday, while seventh-seeded Marist (25-8) won at second-seed Oklahoma State. The winner of the game will advance to play the winner of the West Virginia-UMass game on the road next week.

All seating for the game is general admission and tickets can be purchased for $20. Wolfpack Club members can purchase tickets from 2 p.m. today until the game is sold out. Any tickets not purchased by Wolfpack Club members by noon on Thursday will go on sale to the general public. Because of high call volume, fans are encouraged to purchase tickets online at gopack.com, but the numbers to the ticket office are 919/865-1510 or 1-800-310-PACK.

Fans purchasing tickets will be able to pick them up on Friday between noon and 6:30 p.m. at the Vaughn Towers box office at Carter-Finley Stadium. Any tickets not picked up during that time will be at the Reynolds will-call window on Friday evening.

There will be a special code for Wolfpack Club members which will be required at the gopack.com site beginning at 2 pm. Additionally, there will be a limit of six tickets per account.

NC State students can purchase tickets for $5 at the athletic ticket office on Trinity Road, or at Reynolds between 10 am and 2 pm on Thursday.

Has the Wolfpack club email with the promotion code been emailed yet? I’ll have to walk to a coffee shop to check my personal email.

    From gopack:

“2007 MasterCard NIT 2nd Round Tickets are $20 each, all seating is general admission, and limited to 4 tickets per person. Reynolds Coliseum doors will open 90 minutes before tip-off and all seats will be filled on a first come, first served basis.”

    Doors open at 8PM

i wonder who held Fowlers hand through all of this? did he hire Nienas to figure all this out for him?

  5. Girlfriend in a Coma 03/14/2007 at 12:55 PM #

I got my email with the code.

Give credit where credit is due. This is a good, workable setup. Good job Lee and Wolfpack Club personnel.

This gave me a little incentive to getting around to renewing my WPC membership) which I was planning to do anyway with our recent coaching changes.) I had to call for the code since I wasn’t active when the email went out. Agree with BJD95. Only, I could have done without the extra stress this AM (didn’t get much work done.) Looking forward to my first game in Raleigh since graduating in 1981. In Reynolds and seeing Lowe again – doesn’t get any better.

SFN: Please don’t put the promo code into public domain. I just ordered four tickets.

  9. choppack1 03/14/2007 at 1:08 PM #

Agree BJD – This was handled nicely. Now the question – to I make the trek to Raleighwood or not?

  10. Mr O 03/14/2007 at 1:08 PM #

Actually, maybe the code should be edited out of my last post? Not sure if that enable non-wpc members to order which obviously WPC members should have have the first shot.

Choppack: For a game against a quality opponent in Reynolds on Friday night?

    How far is your trip?

Permission is dicey for some of us. My 8-year old has a sleepover, but I would LOVE to take my 5-year old twins to a game in reynolds. I’m just worried that my wife will run me over with her car for even asking…

Is anyone else having trouble ordering online? Mine says to wait two or 3 minutes but is taking much longer.

Who can give me some information about becoming a member of the WPC? I just moved back to the Raleigh area.

I was able to get my tickets easily. I would recommend using Internet Explorer as I’ve had troubles with Firefox and the GoPack site before.
Also, don’t post the code as they don’t check if you are a member (online at least), they just check the code.

    Thanks Mr. O!

You may have some trouble if you are using Firefox. IE works best at gopack.com

This link has already been posted, but I wanted to point it out to those saying that playing in the NIT would mean zilch in the media.

We want to ‘give credit’ for something as simple as getting an important basketball game scheduled?

I didn’t beat my wife last night…somebody give me an award.

  23. redfred2 03/14/2007 at 1:54 PM #

I’m in limbo and can’t plan ahead, what are the odds on getting a seat in Reynolds if I just drove up there on Friday night.

I think you may get points taken for that, all depending on your religion of course.
