Drexel Game Thread (Last of the Season?)

Is this the way the season ends? Not with a bang (like the ACCT run), but a whimper (an injured, mentally and physically exhausted Pack squad playing out the string in front of a handful of fans)? Sadly, it seems likely, as this previous post explained. To clarify, I sure as hell hope we win, and will even make the trek to a sports bar in about an hour to watch on ESPN-Unavailable. But I won’t fault the staff or these kids in the slightest if we lose – even if we lose by 40.

Anyway, your in-game comments belong here. Let’s ride it out together!

8:12 update: I hate to say I told you so, but…

Halftime update: Really proud of the guys for hanging in and grinding it out. Drexel never met a shot they didn’t like, that’s for sure.

Damned near midnight update: Being wrong never felt so right! What incredible character. Go Marist!

    branjawn, I’ve been in the other threads all day, and yesterday, battling the doubters. I’m not “talking trash”. I’m enjoying ribbing those who continue to doubt our team, even after last weekend.

    I know there is tons of time left, and after this weekend I should have more faith, but how many more times are we going to miss a layup, commit a TO, or foul, when we have a chance to tie??

    This is a result of the last 15 years, which is all I’ve been a State fan.

    sorry branjawn…there were a bit more then 2 or 3 people with pessimistic attitudes towards this game. which is a bit understandable, but you cant fault Tau for having pride and trying to hush the nay-sayers a bit.

    good to hear the game is competitive.

    “LOL at all the doubters early in the thread.” That implies here, this thread. Anyways, even if you’re just joking around, I think some people were just saying they would be understanding if we had a poor showing. I would call it more realism than doubt. Like me, I am surprised that after 4 games in 4 days we are even hanging in there tonight after all the travel.

    If we do win tonight, they better make it to the finals!! I want the boys to come play in my neck of the woods, NY!

    Fells is having a nice game on offense and defense. I really feel like he could break out in a big way next season.

    If state can run their half court offense they can win. Drexel is shooting about 30% when they aren’t in transition.

    game is prety exciting so far. I’m lovin the fight and comeback in this team, like a old time heavy weight fighter this past week. Go on Pack and win this one. Sounds like there are a few of the faithful that made the trip up to Philly. You can hear them cheering on the radio when we do something well.
