But, to start the New Year we thought that we would ask all of our readers to share at least one, somewhat original and far fetched ‘wish’ for the new year.

Here is one to start us off.

We wish that Engin Atsur would agree not to go back to Europe to play pro ball next year and therefore be redshirted this season so that he could run the point guard on the Wolfpack’s 2007-2008 basketball team.

    1. A Sidney Lowe caliber point guard
    2. A Philip Rivers caliber QB

    dook is very beatable, outside of cameron that is. it’s not impossible.

    MY WISH is that brian Nieman goes off in an acc game for a triple double. and he is carried off the court on the shoulders of his teammates while the crowd chants RUDY, RUDY!

    I wish Coach Dixon could be retained at WR coach.

    I wish for a 5 star game changing PG to committ during the next calendar year.

    Finally, and my biggest wish for the new year:

    Please, oh wish-granting-new-year’s fairy, please give me a new AD sometime this year. Oh please, oh please, oh please.

    Somehow, some way, let us sneak into the NCAA tourney this year so we can keep our consecutive years streak going. Otherwise we’ll hear rubbish along the lines of, “HS would have made it six in a row but you ran him off.”
    In football, I wish for great coaches for both the offensive and defensive lines and then the great players to match. Great lines go a long way toward allowing your skill players to do what they do best on both sides of the ball.
    Lastly, let’s all keep calm when the losing starts. We’ve got one more game before 15 consecutive ACC games, many of which we will lose. We have the coach we need and the foundation for what may become a great State team, but not this year.

    I’ll order a plain cheese pizza, nothing on it, bland and boring as can be, to go along with my concern about keeping the consecutive NCAA streak alive. It may not start with this season, but I’m pretty sure we can have all of the NCAA tournament mediocrity we want from here on out.

    I think we’re looking for a different tasting pizza now days though, something more along the lines of…ALL THE WAY.
