If NC State Is Ever In The Market For A New AD

If NC State is ever in the need of a new AD, keep the name Pete Garcia, in mind. Hopefuly one day we can get rid of Lee Fowler. If you want to read about the anti-Lee, check out this article from the Miami Herald.

If there was any doubt what direction the Florida International athletic program was going to take under Pete Garcia, it became evident on a plane ride in late October.

Less than two weeks into his new job as FIU’s athletic director, Garcia accompanied the football team to Tuscaloosa, Ala., where it lost 38-3 to fall to 0-8 on the season.

From his seat at the front of the plane, Garcia heard players joking around on the ride home.

‘I just went back there and said, `Last time I checked on the scoreboard we lost by 35 points, so let’s act like we lost by 35 points.’ ”

PAPacker Says: “I think we should let the “lee fowler has to go” conversation go until after the search is done. It cannot do anything positive for the coaching search. We all care about what is best for State. There will be plenty of time after a new coach is hired to return to this. Anybody agree?”

I agree for sure. All I have been doing is trying to mitigate the negativity. There’s plenty of time after the coaching search and hiring process is complete.

“So I’ve been told by other authors of SFN material when I’m not in agreement with their slant on what is said, written or occurs. ”

Your reflexive defense of the indefensible on Fowler’s part begins to veer from fixation to full-blown obsession.

In my case, I quoted Fowler’s exact statements. Exact. Literally hundreds of people, including many on this board, have weighed those statements and come to precisely the same conclusion about them that I did. There are you, and I would guess five others total, who argue that this comment was something OTHER than a grossly inappropriate exaggeration or downright falsehood. Yet I, you assert, am the one “slanting” – just like the writer here is.

I would guess that roughly the same percentage of persons view Fowler’s comments as appropriate as those who claim the Sun revolves around the Earth. You membership in those infintensimal groups doesn’t make you one with a “different slant.” It makes you very close to Orwell’s “minority of one.” for any “1984” fans on this forum.

If you want to read positives in the WPN, go to a piece on basketball, baseball, even FB now. The only reason you perceive negativity is because you’re reading pieces on our AD who is a big negative in the WP program!

LF did not get rid of CTC of his own accord. He was told to do so. If the decision was left to him he would have backed CTC and we would have even more reasons to detest this leech on our athletics.

You are trying to defend the indefensible. The man should have already been fired for his repeated stupid statements. But the tide is turning finally, as a number of the upper echelon WPC members are now concerned enough to suggest a change may be in order.

Hey, I’m not the one who brings Fowler into every thread. And you call me obsessed?

^ Again you begin with a false premise. I’ve put together a considerable body of posts on this blog, and certainly less than half – maybe less than a quarter of them – mention Lee Fowler at all.

Moreover, you have posted literally dozens of times on this subject yourself in the past 48 hours alone, both on this and other forums, defending Fowler over and over again with the same tired arguments in response to each new verbal outrage.
