GT’s two top receivers….Calvin and James Johnson. They rank #1 and #8 in the conference.

I will say it again, EVANS. He is holding up well, but.

The K I D should have seen, at the very least, very limited playing time in the early OOC schedule when we were stinking up the football field.

He’s in there now, exhibiting all kinds of poise, which I guess was never in evidence in practice before the season started. All of sudden, and because of all of that poise makes him look like a 5th year senior, now everyone expects him to perform like he’s been there all along.

Just another refusal to change and missed opportunity that could have benefitted the team in the long run. That would be as opposed to, plowing straight ahead down an unproductive and already plowed ditch.

There is nothing like REAL GAME time experience. This staff missed their opportunity.

All I’m saying is that the Philip Rivers scenario in comparison to our woes on offense right now, is an unfair evalution, especially to the young man who, all of a sudden out of nowhere, got ‘stuck in’ the QB position.

    Which came first…?

Do turnovers cause losses? Or does being behind cause us to take more risks and therefore turn the ball over more?

We have fumbled 6 times this year which isn’t that bad. We are 3rd best in the conference and 30th in the country.

We have had 10 passes intercepted. That ranks 10th and 81st. I didn’t go back through the play-by-plays, but I don’t recall any interceptions when we were trying to protect a lead.

Not arguing either way, but it is interesting.

“…have always ben the center of attention at my house!”

My earlier reply didn’t go through (?) but I’d say you are a lucky man.

Wait a minute…you are a man aren’t you? If not…what’s your phone number?

    Woof

    There isn’t anything to argue.

The team is being played by circumstances, instead of just playing football.

RedFred, I have been told that the 2nd string QB gets next to zero practice snaps with the first team offense. If that’s true, then the problem you describe is far deeper than meets the eye.

RAWFS, Unbelievable, but not surprising at this point.

It’s been this way in football, basketball, and even with the administration.

It’s straight forward, ONE PLAN and no foresight, at every position and at every level in Raleigh, for too long now.

    Thanks VA Wolf

Is anybody going to tell the young folks here what a “Johnson” is? And it’s not a receiver form GT. It’s not a receiver at all, quite the opposite.

  12. Woof Wolf 11/03/2006 at 5:14 PM #

I think we may need some pictures.

  13. cfpack03 11/03/2006 at 5:21 PM #

I doubt the “johnson” double meaning is lost on anyone here. Actually, I’m more surprised no one has figured out a punch line using Ball, Johnson, and Chance.

  14. cfpack03 11/03/2006 at 5:28 PM #

^Ball, Johnson, and Choice, I mean. Hell, throw jackit in there too if you want to be classy

  15. redfred2 11/03/2006 at 8:41 PM #

    ^HA HA!!!

  16. redfred2 11/03/2006 at 8:49 PM #

“as 6-foot-6 junior Levi Hamilton scored 19 points.â€?

PackGirl, so you’re saying this team has player, named “Levi,” who is a junior, and got enough playing time to score nineteen points?

This is going to be much different than anything we’ve seen lately for sure.

That woosh of air you felt go by this weekend was UNC’s program passing us by with the apparent securing of Butch Davis as the next head coach. CTC just fell to the bottom of the league with this soon to be hire. WPC better gear up for an upgrade in our near future or be happy with no bowls and .500 at best seasons.

If only we could upgrade our fans…
