Week 10 TV Schedule

It is not at all a bad week this week with the action starting Thursday night with the Louisville/West Virginia game. Easy schedule arguments aside, this game is huge with obvious national title implications. Rumors are that tickets to this game are going for $1000. That could be a record for a Thursday night game as well as a record for the new Big East.

Here is the rest of this
week’s schedule.

Watching the half of the UL/WVU game and I keep asking myself: Why haven’t we offered Rutger’s coach a job again?

Get a defense, West Virginia. Let us know when you do and maybe we’ll take you seriously again. Very satisfying result, as Louisville at least had the guts to put Miami on the schedule. I would still vote Florida ahead of them if both teams win out, though.

Apart from practically non-existence defenses, how wonderful and different it was to watch a game where offenses score touchdowns and opposed to sputtering out practically every drive, even against the likes of UVA.

wow, SO that is what a game of football looks like… its been so long since i have seen one. agreed, that the d was pretty non existant, but in todays world, everything is focused on scoring points and that is what people want to see. Offense is the most entertaining part of the game and after all football is entertainment….. but yeah, d last night was garbage.

it was a really exciting game!! the d’s on BOTH sides where horrible!!

    WV beat themselves.

^ even though the d’s where horrible I think that was more of a fluke then a sign of complete lack of defense. BJD95- I think both teams should be taken seriously by ANY other team!!

WV -Phew is more like it. And you don’t beat yourself when the other team hangs 44 on you and scores nearly every time they touch the ball. WVU is a good foootball team but has been very overrated this year – reference the ECU game. Smart, fast linebackers really mess up an offense like the one WVU runs. However, Louisville does have a glaring, goal line offensive issue. Very few teams run or could run the type of offense WVU runs but that type of offense is dangerously one dimensional. Texas Tech is the other end of the spectrum but also one dimensional. Good game, I enjoyed it.

well Pack92, you DO beat yourself when you give a team like Louisville the ball twice with good field position off of turnovers. you have to rememer the final score was 44-34. TWO possesions. I loved the drive that White did without Slaton. that drive could have been REALLY bad for WV. they pulled through without it. I am not knocking the lack of defense on WV’s part… but there was also a HUGE lack of defense on Louisvilles side of the D as well. they just didnt have AS MANY turnovers.

but like we all say… a really enjoyable game.

Speaking of scoring touchdowns. Is there any truth to the rumor ND is borrowing a Cray super computer from the CIA to tabulate this week’s scoreboard action at ND? It may be easier to keep up with the national debt numbers than the ND-UNC scoreboard.

Agreed about the lack of D on the part of the Card’s. However, WVU, as I stated, does VERY well with the type of offense they run. I honestly think they could get 250-300 yards rushing against Ohio State but would still lose because they would have to throw the ball with precision. Louisville COULD have scored 2 TD’s instead of field goals inthe first half and only one of those was due to a turnover (the fullback fumble). I just never thought after Louisvillle took the lead that there was any kind of momentum shift back to WVU.

The last ACC/NC State game I can remember close to that one was Phillip Rivers and Matt Schaub slugging it out in Carter-Finley.
