It Looks Bad For Chuck

SFN will have a lot more scoop and analysis regarding the “Chuck Amato Situation” before tomorrow’s football game. Until then, we thought that we would direct your attention to Dave Glenn’s blog entry today.

“I’ve been around this university for a long, long time,” a former BOT member told the ACC Sports Journal. “I know the decision-makers, I know the trustees, and I know many other (N.C. State) people, and it is almost impossible to find anyone of influence who is standing in support of Chuck Amato right now. To my knowledge, among those folks, there is absolutely zero support for keeping him.”

Thanks to all of you who posted tonight. Thanks for the well wishes and thanks to Chuck. No joy in kicking one of our own when he’s down.

The Class of 61 team who were at that game tonight changed their thingking about Chuck by half-time. And so did I.

Not nearly enough healing for Gabe to come to work here and besides health-wise he is not up to it. I did see in Gabe a love for his teammates and overall graciousness, generosity and kindness about him that I wish I could put into words.

Quick story that Gabe tells on himself, although I doubt the truthfulness of it. In Gabe’s early days, blacks had to sit in the back of the buses. Gabe says he got on once and the driver looked at him for a moment and said, “You, sit in the middle.”

    choppack1…
“A younger version of 7-4??” Dick Sheridan who sells real estate in Myrtle Beach now?? That guy????
In Gabe’s early days, lets be serious. You all chat like a bunch of fags. I feel as if im speaking with incompetent people such as midgets, CTC, Kay Yow, the Coach Lee Fowler while traveling the “Spring 3-Ring Circus.” And on another note, whomsake Logan for coach is a faggot and should be banned permantely from “AL GORE’S” internet invention. Trust in Chow and Cowher for AD…..

Alhough our best blocker as a 280 lb TE seemed to be a mountaintop, he was really just a hill. An Ant Hill at that. As well spoken can be with a pipe to my lips, with a level of eloquent certainty, the late Charles Kuralt could only say it better when he said: he was our LEADING BALL-CATCHER?!!!!!!! Ant Hill?? And Lamart Barrett was a close second regardless of the 11 interception assists on record. Looking to the future, we also have “other” options such as: Geron James (6’3 190), Andre Brown (5’11 235) {whom should have 300+ carries a season with TB @ FB}, Dunlap with whom we have intrusted our “infamous 7.5% ESPN Vote of the Season,” and Eugene for whom we have heard many a great tale of excellence but yet whom seem to only to amount to “quick flair passes” that has such become a staple of our identity.
