Fresh off the sting losing Chris Wright to Georgetown, J.J. Hickson will decide between NC State and Tennessee today at 4pm. Hickson is rated #21 overall in Dave Telep’s 2007 class rankings.

    Two cents.
    Tennessee — Upside — proven coach, improving record at UT, building a real good team. downside — maybe not play so soon?

    NC State — Upside — playing time guaranteed. Chance to play against the best talent on TV.
    Downside — coach not proven but has NBA experience. program rebuilding.

    I’d give State the edge. If JJ wanted to be on a top team and wait to play –he would have visited FLorida.

    As usual, Cardiff Giant’s Sadim Touch – Midas touch reversed, where everything I touch turns to crap – does the trick. Note my prediction above. I’ve been keeping that negative thought in mind all day, hoping it would work.

    This Hickson kid does appear to be the start of something good with Sidney and if he signs and works out then chances are good that we are back on track to where we belong after a bad drought. Go Pack and Go Sidney…get ’em.

    Yes, before the recruiting services. And we have done alright with some who weren’t. Of course Cozell thougt he was going up north to play when he committed to NORTH Carolina State.

    I love the enthusiam, but let’s chill. We are off to great start here on the road to becoming legitmate, and not the kind of ‘legitmacy” that has been settled around here for too long, this is REAL.

    But let’s not go from one extreme to the other in the blink of an eye. We’ve have the key component headed our way, we may or may not need a few more to parts to complete the system. Either way, those kids are out there, and I like our chances as good as anyone’s for bringing them in now.

    But let’s not pull another gloom and doom/national championship scenario here. We are no longer in shambles, but we’re not quite challenging for anything yet either. Watch the basketball games, enjoy the basketball games, but please do not burden the program with expectations, when it’s way too early to tell. Sit back, and ALLOW the program to build on it’s own.

    Awesome news for us! JJ will be a huge impact for us next year and maybe enough to put us into the NCAA’S! (Who knows!?) Anyways, I was wondering where I could find schedules on our commits and prospects, Warren-Smith-CJ Williams. I would love to be able to try ot watch some of these guys play this year. Thanks in advance if anyone can help me with that!
