We discussed the basketball schedule yesterday — at least the part of it that we have been able to piece together from other announcements, etc.
The discussion generated (what sounded to be) some educated responses that the ACC will release its entire basketball schedule simultaneously in mid to late August.
One topic that arose in the comments section of yesterday’s entry was the RUMOR that NC State’s administration has been dumb enough to potentially schedule a future home and home series with East Carolina in basketball. We have heard NOTHING substantial on this topic other than a few stray comments from a couple of traditionally well-connected sources.
A quick look at one of ECU’s website doesn’t provide much insight into the topic other than the following very ambiguous statement:
“While he remains mum on the upcoming schedule — the dates and opponents won’t be released until late August — Stokes knows that the Conference USA teams and possibly ACC teams that will tip off against ECU this season will give an intense test of the new squad’s mettle very quickly.”
