ESPN is reporting that Monte Towe has accepted on offer to join Sidney Lowe’s staff at NC State.
“It hasn’t been an easy decision, but I’m going to go to NC State,” Towe told ESPN.com. “The issue making it hard for me is how much I love this team, this city. But all things being equal, this is probably best for me and my wife to go.”
This morning, New Orleans’ Times-Picayune wrote a nice article stating not to blame Towe for the tugs from home.
“My jersey hangs in the rafters (at North Carolina State),” Towe said. “It’s almost like if your school calls you, you better report for duty. North Carolina State has to be considered one of the great programs in the country.”
