If cal comes and that is a big if, I think we still have the players now to run the style he likes. Grant, Fells, Ced, Costner(and he will be a beast), Larry Davis, then atsure hitting 3’s, and brackman and McCually for deapth down low. We could be good

Couple thoughts before my girlfriend catches me using her computer and again screams about how obsessed I’ve become with this:

    1) THe FOXSports reports means a lot to me because Cal is such a regular on BDSSP. I can’t help but believe there’s a connection there.

    2) The whole plane thing is out of control. How am I supposed to get in my jet and fly to Vegas to wine and dine some hot russian strippers when my girlfriend can use flightaware.com to track me down?

I just spoke with the Reverend and he gave me the word…

Whether we will be successful…in this great mission…we cannot know.
But we do know…that the forces of evil…that conspire against this great institution…will be defeated…and that NCSU will once again…take it’s rightful place…on the throne of men’s college basketball.

Those guys better get in shape. Calipari has given a new definition to “40 minutes of hell.” They really get after you.

Kudos to everyone on this blog. I am a frequent poster on 850’s blog, and have been glued to this site for the past few days. It is like watching a movie unfold in front of us. The plane tracking, how smart is that? Dude going to the airport to take pictures of them getting off the plane!! Awesome. I live just north of Philly, so I am a bit secluded, but thanks to Alpha and his site, and this site, and 850’s blog, I still feel like I am up to speed on everything, and almost like a part of things.

Thanks for doing a great job. Keep up the good work!!!

And collectively, we need to find out what it will take to get 850 to stream their station. I keep asking, and getting a “hopefully in the next 6 months” response.

Need a quick, surehanded ballhandler to REALLY run it. But I agree, thos guys can fill lanes, and Ced can start breaks with those blocked shots.

    Man, please let this happen!!!!!!

    Mr. Calipari,
There’s precedent for figures in sports to read fansites before coming to a new team; Curt Schilling instantly became a fan favorite with the Red Sox by lurking and then posting on the Sons of Sam Horn website. And so, on the off chance you’re following that lead and reading this, let me invite you to read on.

Take a few minutes and read the posts on this website. Feel the passion in their words. Hear their excitement at the possibility. Listen to a long-dormant fan base, ready to explode in support and exhiliration.

Once upon a time, we played in the toughest home arena in the country; Reynolds was Cameron before Cameron, not because of the building itself, but because of these people and their parents and grandparents. Once upon a time, seeing NC State on their schedule made opponents tremble, both in fear of embarrassment and in excitement at the chance to prove themselves at the highest level. And we fervently believe we can get back to that place.

In NC State basketball, there have been moments, and not just the Lorenzo Charles moment you see on every retrospective show. Moments like the almost palpable stillness in the air whenever David Thompson leapt through the sky. Moments like the roar of the crowd when Rodney Monroe lined up another dagger-like jumper. The fire of Chris Corchiani, the calm of Thurl Bailey, the passion of Vinny Del Negro, the guts of Justin Gainey. Those names, and a hundred more besides them, bring back images to the mind of every person whose words you read here. In other words, we remember, and we fervently believe there are moments to come.

And that’s what we crave. We want our children, and our children’s children, to experience those same chills that run down our spines when we remember. We want, so very badly, to taste that excellence again. To shake our fists at the wind, shouting from the rooftops that we *are* the red and white from State, and we *know* we are the best.

So we’ve worked to get there, back to where we in all humility believe we belong. We’ve built state-of-the-art facilities. We have (as you can tell) a rabidly-excited fan base, ready to buy tickets and t-shirts, ready to scream ourselves hoarse, ready to shake the rafters with the sound of our fight song, our alma mater, and the endless chants of “N. C. State!”

What we need now is a leader. Someone with the courage to stand up to (and I say this with tremendous respect for our colleagues, both local and conference-wide) the neighborhood bullies. Someone ready to plunge his sword into the ground and fight to win back what we see as our birthright — primacy in the best college basketball conference in the land. Someone humble enough to stand in the shadow of the legacy of Case and Sloan and Valvano, but proud enough to believe that he can make that legacy even stronger.

I certainly can’t tell you what to do as you face your decision. You have myriad factors to weigh, which none of us here can begin to understand. All we can do is show you the passion, the desire, the possibility that having you come here would tap into. It is, beyond question, a glorious opportunity, for you and for us. And, from our perspective, it would seem to be a terrible shame to walk away from that opportunity.

    Sincerely,
    One of a million fans

but do you not agree with the players we have we could be good, I mean most of the time a coach needs a few seasons to get “his” guys in, but sendek had some athletic guys just didn’t get all he could out of them. I have seen tapes of fells in high school, and this kid can fly, him and grant on the wings could be fun to watch.

  15. Jeremy Hyatt 04/10/2006 at 8:19 PM #

fells and grant would suffer in princeton nofense

  16. bohnman009 04/10/2006 at 8:20 PM #

Well, they don’t have to worry about that stupid offense anymore

  17. Jeremy Hyatt 04/10/2006 at 8:21 PM #

i know forgive me for mentioning it, but knowing we don’t have to worry about is automatic enthusiasm for next year.

  18. bohnman009 04/10/2006 at 8:21 PM #

and if we get Cal, you know Wright will recommit. And we will automatically be on the short list for the NBA’s new one and done college kids

  19. bohnman009 04/10/2006 at 8:21 PM #

    no doubt, Jerm, no doubt

  20. Jeremy Hyatt 04/10/2006 at 8:21 PM #

Wright would piss on himself to recommit

  21. wolfpacker 04/10/2006 at 8:21 PM #

Princeton offense is about as good as Football’s Prevent Defense…prevents you from winning…

  22. bohnman009 04/10/2006 at 8:21 PM #

that “nofense” was the main reason I didn’t like Herb as a coach.

  23. Wolfpack_34 04/10/2006 at 8:22 PM #

    The Pack will be back.

  24. bohnman009 04/10/2006 at 8:22 PM #

I know I will piss myself when it’s official!!!
