Here is a novel idea…
…a University, Athletics Department, and Sports Information Department with a focus on sharing value with its stakeholders and supporters.
While NC State’s GoPack.com is busy not telling you relevant facts about stories and running generic (incorrect) Associated Press stories about the University’s largest sport between a sea of whorish advertising, the 2005-2006 Basketball Media Guide of the defending National Basketball Champions is available for anyone to download off the internet on Carolina Blue’s website.
Like all Athletics Departments (including Carolina’s), NC State’s Department sells printed media guides to the public for a fee. But unlike Carolina’s department, NC State’s has never felt as though Wolfpack fans deserved the ability or privilege to be able to access sports information in the annual media guides.
What a fan-friendly idea? Gee…why didn’t anyone else think of that?! (That is sarcastic since so many Athletics Departments take the time to make their media guides available to their “fans”.
I guess there are more than just “on the field/court results” to consider why some Athletics Departments are consistently Top 10 programs and others are consistently Top 50 ones.
