Former NC State safety, Andre Maddox has been placed on injured reserve after tearing ligaments in his knee on Friday night in an NFL exhibition game against the New York Giants.
Many experts considered Maddox, a steal when the New York Jets drafted him in the fifth round with the 161st overall pick of the 2005 NFL draft. The Jets made the playoffs last year and are looking for more success this year with a healthy Chad Pennington and shrewd draft moves like the Maddox selection. Jerricho Cotchery also plays for the Jets.
