    I can’t watch stuff like that. Needless to say he is scum….must be how the Vick bros. were raised. Looks like ole Ronald Curry was the better of the two after all…

    Vick is an hugely overpaid thug. He isn’t a leader or even anything close to a complete quarterbacking talent. He’s the equivalent of the second man in a two man college QB rotation. Explosive as hell, to be inserted into the lineup only on a third on long, but never to run the show.

    … I have been waiting for something on Vick to pop up here, just so I can ask this question(cause I am sick of even thinking about the dog fighting)…

    Why is it that no one seems to be talking, and Atlanta dosnt seem to be thinking about going out and getting Jake Plummer to be their QB?!?!?! I know I would much rather have my team led by him then Joey Harrington!! Plummer turns over the ball about as much as Vick, and can run decently. The Falcons wouldnt have to change their playbook like they are going to have to- to fit Harrington in there.

    MV and his 3 gangsta buddies pled not guilty and posted bond in a courthouse in Richmond a short while ago. Outside it was a circus.

    ^ And inside the courthouse Mike was finding out it’s going to be a long time before he, if ever, gets to play football again. The new unknown charges will most likely make at least one of the thug buddies crack and turn evidence for the fed’s. Hate it for you Mike. Juuust hate it.

    Jimmy Johnson was right. Mike is the best running back in the NFL.

    Vick is easily the biggest piece of crap in the NFL.

    The reason the Falcons aren’t going after Plummer is that he filed papers announcing his retirement with the league office. That means he is ineligible to play for one year.

    I guess I’m different than most folks in this blog forum, but I don’t see anything wrong with satire as a statement. It works for Deadspin and KSK, that’s for damn sure. Just because StateFans is the best place to go for serious Wolfpack news doesn’t mean they can’t have a little humor about things once in a while.

    At any rate, the dogfighting scene is obviously from a movie, so I doubt any animals were harmed in the making of it.

    This is probably because Tampa Bay currently owns his NFL rights. I think they gave up a draft pick to get those rights, so for Atlanta to get him, the price might be steeper than they are willing to pay.

    If I were atlanta I would be doing everything I can to get Plummer. I am sure there are ways around the “retirement” thing! I knew he said he was gonna do that, but i didnt know it actually made him ineligible… I am sure that Tampa would do NOTHING to help Atlanta at all though. Those might be the only two games Tampa Bay wins this year! 🙂

    He hasn’t filed his retirement papers with the NFL, so I don’t know that any retirement mandated ineligibility applies here. Only problem is that Tampa owns his rights via a trade with the Broncos, and if he wants to actually play he would be stuck playing for Tampa, unless they traded him in turn or released/waived him. Highly unlikely for them to release him, so Atlanta could only trade for his rights, and who wants to give up a draft pick for someone who potentially would never play (like Tampa did last year).

    If you are a Falcons fan and you don’t want to put your hopes in Harrington, have heart: Culpepper is available 🙂

    Some people may not think so, but I believe the Atlanta Falcons are better off and may now actually become a football TEAM now that the Michael Vick HYPE and overblown celebrity status (and for what???) is out of the way.

    I heard on ESPN that the Bucs have talked Plummer out of filing the retirement papers…so I was wrong about him being ineligible.

    I doubt seriously whether anyone gives Culpepper anything more than a one-year deal. His knee injury was a lot more serious than people thought. John Clayton was saying yesterday that he just doesn’t have anything left in the tank these days.

    I’d say that trying to get either Byron Leftwich or David Garrard is a better move. David Carr would have been a nice pickup, but there ain’t no way in the world the Panthers are going to help their division rival.

    Guys like Vick live in palaces, with every amenity and creature comfort known to mankind at their beckoned call. Yet they dress and try to look like they just stepped from under a pile of alley trash from somewhere straight outta da hood. I don’t understand why the general public and those folks really stuck in da hood don’t see what a joke and how hypocritical that is. It would be comparable to me that thinking someone like John Edwards really lives and knows exactly how it is to be me. Like ol’ Johnny Edwards is my homeboy or something.
    If was some mucky muck involved with a huge corporation which was shelling out outrageous money for endorsements, I wouldn’t care what the current style was in at the moment, and I would expect some kind of halfway decent dress, at least on certain occasions anyway. To me, it doesn’t come off at all to see advertisements with of a crowd of smiling elementary school kids and someone looking like Michael Vick plopped down right in the middle, hat sideways, looking goofy, and dressed like a typical dope dealer. Every parent, the ones with any sense anyway, knows that if they caught their kid out on the street with a regular homey who looked like that and it wasn’t really Michael Vick, they’d put a boot in their kids butt and be calling the drug crisis intervention hotline at first opportunity.

    Call me old and a stick in the mud, but that persona really appeals to one mentality, and if anyone wants to show the kids in the hood how to get out of there, it surely isn’t by looking and acting like the run of the mill pusher they see every day out on the streets. Kids now that already without seeing multimillionaire athlete wannabes. But I guess if you are lucky enough to be born with outrageous physical gifts which very few people have ever even witnessed before on the planet, and are fortunate enough to make good on the one in??? many million shot to even get to highest level on the planet, then you can stay “true to your roots” without ever feeling the need to make a difference or set a good example for those normal kids back in da hood.

    Wow there horsey, I’m climbing down now.
