Very cool work done by the Athletics Department on the Reynolds Coliseum renovation project available here.
After lengthy planning, in March the process of renovating Reynolds Coliseum became a reality. The $35 million project, to be completed in August 2016, began with the removal of nearly 3,000 seats in the north end to make way for what will eventually be the NC State Walk of Fame & History.
Once the current playing court was removed, the Tartan playing surface of the 70s and 80s became visible, along with the famous Block S center court logo, something which hadn’t been visible for over two decades.Ductwork in the hallways and upper concourses has been removed as preparations are being made for the first permanent air conditioning system in Reynolds.
The project will take further shape later in July when demolition of the north end continues, with the space previously occupied by seating cleared out to make space for the Walk of Fame & History.
